I have a 97 V8. When the engine is hot, at an idle, oil pressure is near
the bottom white line on the guage.
(Mine is in metric so the numbers are almost meaningless). At speed the
pressure is nearer the middle of the gauge. If your oil pressure falls
outside of the 'normal' range, a check guages light will come on.

I suspect that cooler weather was the reason for 'higher' idle oil pressure
before your last oil change. When mine is cold (ie. morning startup), oil
pressure is near the middle of the guage (also idle rpm is up a bit).

10w-30 is called for in the owner's manual and that is what I am using (CC
oil and filter).
