  Ok... I am gonna put my two cents worth in. I know that the 97's
allow you to select 1st 2nd Drive and AOD/lockout. I used to have a
91 Moostang 5.0 and it only had 1st, Drive and OD. It was a tricky
shift to get it to stick in 2nd. After about 25mph to 30mph you could
shove it back down into 1st and it would stay in second but as soon as
you drop down below that speed, slam! she dropped back down into
first. It made for some bad shifts if you weren't watching what you
were doing.
Any way just me two cents..... :-)
