Terry,
Glad you joined the great Dakota List. Lots of good people here.
Sounds like you're getting a real nice truck. (although I'm partial to RED).
Does the Package Heavy Duty Service include the Factory Mags that
are 8" wide? If not, you can order the Tire and Handling Package for
$228 that includes the wheels, 235/70R15's and a rear stabilizer bar.
You will probably get a lot of comments regarding 5-speed verses the Auto.
Sean Meldrum has already started as a "died in the wool" 5-speed guy.
I have driven 4 and 5 speeds most of my life, but I kind of like the auto
in the Dakota with the 3.92 gear. As Sean mentioned, the LSD Sure-Grip
is a real good idea if you don't want to buy a lot of right rear tires.
The people on this list have some very nice trucks. Check out the
pictures on the Dakota List home page.
Beware, if you make all the modifications that will be suggested, you'll
soon have your new Dakota on a trailer towing it to race tracks. :)
