For any of you that may be interested;
I have a little time hear this morning to kill, and I've been meaning to
post some of these little tidbits to the List.
Tidbit #1: Pickup a small box of self-stick, assorted size, felt
protective pads at your local hardware store. I put one (about 3/4" dia.)
on the back of each of the seat belt latches, as in my case I have the
optional center console, this keeps the latch from housing from creating
wear marks on the side of the console.
Tidbit #2: Pertains to Club Cabs, using the same felt pads, I placed on at
each corner of the lid frames for the rear storage boxes to avoid any
plastic on plastic squeaking. (about 1/2" dia.)
Tidbit #3: Using the same pads, I placed one on the door edge where the
interior light button contacts the door, I tend to keep my vehicles long
enough that I have seen rust start at this location due to the plastic
and/or metal button rubbing the paint off.
There are many other uses for these around the vehicle, use your
imagination, but I think you folks get the drift.
Next issue, How and What materials to use to seal your tailgate gap, if you
have a bed cover.
And to all a good afternoon.
