I don't know Dave. The '97 Grand Cherokee Limited has a 318 that puts out
220 horses and gets to 60 in 8.2 seconds. The best time I have seen for a
'97 318 Dak with auto and 3.92 is 8.3 seconds. I personally think that a 1+
second increase from 20 extra horses is a little much. I would expect the
R/T to run somewhere just below 8 seconds. You have to keep in mind that
even though the Cherokee with the 360 is rated at 5 less horses, it also
weighs around 100-200 pounds less (depending on model) and is probably a
little more aerodynamic. I may be totally wrong about all this, but I just
think an improve of over 1 second is being overly optimistic.
