Okay, Here it is:
The Engine work done on the Hennessey Venom 550 costs $22,000
-enlarged throttle bodies
-modified intake manifold
-ported cylinder heads w/valves retained by titanium
-specially ground roller camshaft
-10.0:1 compression
-stainless steel headers
-dual 3.0 inch diameter pipes
---all equalling 585 horsepower at 5700 rpm and 596 pound-feet at 4500 rpm
--that's 135 more horses and 96 more pound-feet of torque than a
stock GTS
Also done to the Hennessey Venom 550:
-13.5 inch diameter Alcon front disc brakes
-three-piece Speedline wheels
-short-throw shifter
-five-point safety harnesses
-and a bunch of Venom logos
All this (Engine work included) added to the $69,300 price of the GTS
results in a total of $99,900 for the Venom 550.
Performance Results:
0-60: 3.9 sec (0.2 sec better than stock)
1/4 mile: 11.9 sec at 124.4 mph (0.5 sec better than stock at 117.3 mph)
skidpad: 1.10 g (stock: 1.00 g)
slalom: 70.7 mph (stock: 72.1 mph)
braking: 134 ft. (stock: 129 ft)
Just thought I'd throw out these numbers. BTW, all this came out of the
April edition of Motor Trend.
