Well Andy, there is a little (just a little) bit of difference between the in-line 6 that Stuttgart puts out, compared to an econobox (for under $10,000, as opposed to under $100,000) that Detroit puts out. I never said because it wasn't a V8 is wasn't nuthin'. If money was no object, I'd toss the Dak in favor of the 911 (Twin Turbo, not single) that does 0-60 in 3.9 secs. It's all wheel drive as well. Hey, what more could you ask for in a car, AWD, 405 BHP, 0-60 in 3.9 sec, $155,000 Cdn dollars. I'm not biased against four-bangers, they're just not my style of vehicle. Gimme a Viper anyday.

old Cheby Sprints, Geo Storms etc. I rented a Neon while I was in Vegas,
and there didn't seem to be much to it at all. It wasn't a Neon Sport, but
nonetheless, it shouldn't have been that much wimpier. Maybe the Mopar boys
have been doing a little more than I would have suspected...hmmm.

I may be way out to lunch on this.

Well, I'm not implying that all Neons are fast--I'm just saying that Neons
have the potential (and available parts) to be very quick. I just don't
think it's fair to come down on four cylinders like that. My sister has a
'94 Saturn with the DOHC 4 banger and it can outrun my V8. Just cause it
doesn't rumble like a V8 doesn't mean it can't get up and go. Hell, look at
the Porsche 911 Turbo. I know it's turbo charged, but it's an inline 6 that
can get to sixty in 3.9 seconds. I think that downplaying a car because
it's not a V8 is being very close-minded.
