Hi Norah: I live just down the street from you and have an 89 Sport 4x4.
I have done 3 complete brake jobs front and rear in the past 300,000km with
only 1 set of rotors at 240,000. The only reason I changed them then was
one warped. There is no way a rotor should be shot at 22,000km let alone
pads! What dealer are we talking about here. Want to make sure I don't go
there! I do all my own work. Don't trust any service organization really.
