Hmmm... I've noticed the V1's, but haven't been able to find out much about them here (Alberta, Canada). I just bought a Whistler, and seem to have good luck with it. I have heard the V1 was the best money could buy, bar none. Has anyone tried the V1 with Laser detection? Since it's only available in the US as far as I know, I'll pay a whack of exchange rate to get one up here.

I've got a Valentine One. I used to have a Bel, but I finally
gave in and shelled out the extra bucks for the Valentine. Definitely
worth it. I would never buy anything but a Valentine now that I've
owned one. They just made several performance enhances and added some
new features. I've had nothing but the best experience with Valentine.
Once, I posted a question about mine in one of the Usenet newsgroups.
A V1 employee happened to see it. They sent me some e-mail saying that
they thought mine might be defective, and asked if I could please send
it back to them. I did, and they sent me a brand new replacement.

No, I don't have stock in the company or anything; I'm just a very
satisfied customer. :)

They usually run a 2 page ad in Car & Driver. If you call them, they'll
send you out a very informative info pack. (free) Car & Driver does
a radar detector test from time to time. The V1 consistantly blows away
everything else. The last test they did, the V1 got a 90 something out
of 100. The detector that came in second (Bel), had a 50 something. :)
