Subs don't have to be square at all. They can be any shape. If you get real radical, there is problems with reflecting waves, but there is give and take in everything in this world. With the rear seats down, I can't believe there would be room for speakers. But hammers do wonders.
Sealed enclosure take the least room, but give you the least bass for the watt. But they tend to be the most accurate of the enclosures.
Tuned port gives you the most bang for the buck, but require a lot more room.

Subject: ClubCab Sub II
Ok so i cant use the metal floor of the cab. This brings up a problem,
the floor of the cab is not flat.. there are depressions where the bottom
of the storage compartments are. Should i try to contour the bottom of the
box (pain in the a**) to these depressions, to make the box less shallow/
more deep. Now here's a question for the box builders does a sub box have
to be square,.. is the contour possible.
