My friend Terry just bought a 1987 Toyota Supra Turbo To race around in.
He already Gutted the cat and cut the muf off, and put a turbo tip on it.
Well we where in town one day and we decided to run my 1997 5.2liter
Dakota. I thought I would of won, but I didn't. He beat me by 1 car
lenght!!!! How is this, a 6 vs. a 8. He must have alot of power in that
car, cause it suprised me. My trucks a 5 speed with no Sure Grip, and I
was running 87 octane. can anyone tell me why I lost. Is the sup that
fast. Oh yeah his car is a automatic.
Thanks

It's called "weight". I don't know how much a reg cab weighs, but the full
boat CC Dakota is a 4000 lb vehicle. Even if the Supra is one of the piggier
cars, it probably weighs about 500 lbs or more less. Take a car like a
Lotus Super 7 with about 1100 lbs or a bike of around 600 lbs and you'll
be amazed at what "only" 150 hp will do! :-)
