From what I have heard, the 3" cleaner element fits great. On my '96, I
have a 14" cleaner with the 3" K&N and there is no problem. I would think
the 97 would have more clearance and with a smaller diameter cleaner, you
should have plenty of room.

On the hose, I would try to find the emmision hose.
