Would "SOMEONE IN THE KNOW" please send me the necessities to install a
360 in a 89 Dak that came with 3.9LV6/A500 Auto. I have a 360, and I have
a 518. I want to install a set of "915" heads that I just happen to have, but
I would also like to convert from TBI to MPI. Did the 89 Shelby have MPI????
If so, what is the P/N on your SBEC (Engine Controller)? Will I need to get a
wiring harness from a 89 Shelby, or will mine work? Are there differences
in cross members? If so, does mine have the holes in frame or am I going to
have to drill? What modifications are necessary to the "915" heads to
accomidate the intake for MPI? Any other things I need to know before I
get into this I would appreciate input on. I considered buying a Shelby,
but I found out all were Short wheel base, and I don't want to give up
the better ride quality of my LWB, so the alternative is to convert to
V8.....RIGHT??? MOPOWER!!
I only have access at work, so I'll look forward to lots of input Monday.
