overhead console -Reply

I got the overhead console with my 97 and I like it. The computer displays elapsed ignition on time and mileage since last reset, current direction and temperature, current and average fuel economy as well as distance to empty. I've found that the computer is fairly accurate, however, the average fuel economy reads about .5MPG low and the DTE usually shows 0 miles when there are still about 2 gallons left in the tank. I don't know if it's something that can be calibrated or not. I'll probably mention it to the dealer next time I'm in. The overhead console also has compartment for sunglasses and a garage door opener (Which doesn't need to be opened to use the door opener. Really kind of nice) It also comes with an automatic Day/Night rear view mirror. When I read about the feature I thought it would just be a toy, but since I got it I've found it to be really helpful. I don't have to worry about being blinded by headlights in the rearview mirror at all any more. Overall, however, I really like it an
d don't regret it at all.

what is included with the overhead console on the new dakotas?. Is
there a fuel readout until empty, is it accurate and does anybody
wish they would not have ordered it?. I don't want to waste money in
the wrong places. What about the stereo, I have an alpine cd
controller 4x25, should I install this in a new truck or go with an
original system. I thought I saw an option for 8 speakers in 6
location amplified by 100 watts?
Can somebody clarify this for me?
