The two wheel drive is lower than the 4x4. I know the rear axle sits atop the
rear leaf springs not underneath like the 4x4 models do. I believe 31" will
fit on stock rims at stock height however, if you plan on doing any
off-roading you may not have the wheel clearance for 31" tires.

I hope you have more room than I did on my 94 2 wheel drive.
I stepped up to some Michelins 235/75R15 and she rubs when I make sharp
turns. Heavens knows just what will happen if I hit bumpy roads and turn
sharp all at the same time?
