This sounds great! I can't wait to match my DT up w/ my new Gibson. I
thought the 'learning' was a bunch of nonsense at first. But I see it!
It's been about 3 days w/ the Gibson and it's getting better every day.

MOPAR has said that the 5 speed DT headers will be released on Monday. But
I heard that last week too. But this time they absolutely promised that
I'll see them by the end of next week. I have my wrench waiting!

Yepper, I'm currently in that "let the SBEC learn" mode myself. Torque
is getting better and better. Just drove it again tonight, and already
the headers have given me the performance boost that I was hoping to
get, and things have just started to "tune out". I've only driven it
for about 30 miles so far. When I had the flowmaster put on it took
roughly a week to fully adjust. Man if this thing keeps gaining torque
I'm gonna have a drive shaft laying in the driveway.... I had heard
people say that DT's did amazing things for torque. I didn't really
believe all that but now I see what they were talking about. G-forces
have increased, (wish I had one of those things that goes on the dash
and reads out G-force, horse power, 1/4 mile....) My butt-dyno is
already off the scale, but then again it's not a MBD ;-)

Also, as to the pinging caused by the MP SBEC.... Sam had said that when
he installed his DT's they eliminated ALL of the pinging. Well make
that 2 for 2. I have yet to hear so much as a tick of detonation since
the headers went on. I have had detonation problems from day one with
the MP SBEC. A colder tstat helped a lot but it was still there a
little. If anyone is having detonation problems because of the MP SBEC,
I'd say do headers. My engine has never sounded so smooth under
high-rpm load before. A good description is that it sounds "healthy"
and wants you to give it more....

Well, I'll report back later as things get settled.....
