I'm sure I'll open myself to plenty of abuse from Will, et al, but
the Ford enthusiasts have it all over the Chrysler enthusiasts as far
as hacking their engine controllers is concerned. Half the traffic
over on Fordnatics was about kludging the EEC.

What I'd like to know is whether or not it would be possible to
do the same with the Chrysler SBEC. These Hypertech people should
have the resources to hack the SBEC and see what it's doing, and
give us a definitive answer if the MP SBEC is simply banging timing
up to the limit. Could it be as simple as hooking up a logic analyzer?
(Easier said than done when you're talking 5 digit US$ figures for
equipment, I know.)

Where is Hypertech getting their "TABLES OF REFERENCE," anyway?
They either have to have detailed specs from Chrysler, or they are
creating their own. Somehow I've got my doubts that their system
is that complex, if all it does is sit between the sensors and
stock SBEC.

  Count me intrigued, but skeptical.
