Hi John,

        I don't know how the different payload options will affect handling but
my 94 Sport w/V6 handles well. I've had the bed full of dirt and
recently hauled about 1500lbs of brick and the V6 pulls remarkedly
well. It doesn't even grunt when accelerating. It may not be a V8 but
I have been very happy with the all around performance. When I used to
commute I averaged 21-22mpg in rush hour traffic, where it took an hour
to go 29 miles. I feel you'll be happy with the six.
