Hi. I am new to the list. So far I have been very impressed with the whole
operation. I didn't know there were so many Dakota owners out there. I am
very impressed and relieved!!
Here is my question/problem. I am the proud owner of a '97 Sport xCab
5.2 V8 5spd, 3.92 Sure Grip. I want to put a cat-back system on my truck that
has split dual rear exits(not side). Is there a company thats makes such a
system? Or am I better off buying my own muffler (e.g. Flowmaster) and
taking it to a local muffler shop (Tampa area) and having them custom bend
some pipes for me? If this is the better plan, what size muffler
(inlet/outlet) would fit? Or how about just straight pipes? I am also
planning on headers in the near future, so straight pipes might be too loud
with the headers.
I am sure there are plenty of owners out there who have had experience
with this. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
