A buddy and I were shooting a trapping how-to videotape on the river one
day when somebody stole his boat trailer. Well, we backed my Dak down the
ramp into the water with tailpipe bubbling, and shoved the 14 foot aluminum
bass boat into the back of the truck. It only hung off the back of the
truck about 6 or 7 feet! If it would've had another coat of paint on it,
it wouldn't have fit side to side. Anyway, I've got a few dents and
scratches in the front of the bed from the experience. The back end sagged
a bit, but the V8 didn't have any problem pulling the more than likely
overloaded weight. My back did hurt after wrestling the sucker in the
truck, though.
