where can i find a better price? Has anyone installed a MAGNUM EXPRESS
super street throttle body? Did it make a noticable difference? How bout
headers? Whats wrong with the auto tranny is it undependable? Doesn't it
have closer stock ratios than the standard? Did they really mess with
the 92,93 engines? I've heard that before.
I know when you put bigger tires on rear of vehicle you
lose power by raising gear ratio is this opp. when installing smaller
tires (265x50x15BFG's)
I know i've asked alot of ?'s just trying to learn about
my Dakota.
93 Dakota 318, 3.9's, MP com., K+N air filter, Homemade air

Headers are pricey but are guaranteed for life, I believe. The DT's are being
used by a few guys on the list and all seem to like them. There are others
available, I had been looking at the JBA Stainless headers that hook to stock
exhaust pipes 420 dollars. I have not really heard any 1/4 mile performance
boosts with the SS Throttle body but maybe better response.
There is nothing wrong with the auto tranny but you should lock out the OD
when racing, it isn't needed and the OD is the weak point of the A518. A
shift kit will make it shift better and last longer. I have the auto and am
very pleased with it.
The 92/93 engine has a different cam and a 3" Cat and larger exhaust pipes,
make 230 HP. The 94 - 96 make 220 but a bit more torque.
I run 275-60-15 BFG TA's and they measure up pretty close to the Michelin
215-75-15's that came on it, Speedo is real close to stock tires..
Hope this helps some
Bill
