Alan and all :

I can't answer your technical questions, but since it is a 4x4 I assume
you as many of the others take it camping.

Carry an extra lower radiator hose if you are leaking even a bit! The
sweetness of the coolent attracts the sharp teeth of critters. Altho
I'm not leaking YET still have that hose and a couple of gals of premix
just in case.

This is experience, as well as advice posted on the Eastern Sierra web.
Lost a hose on my Datsun this way and yes I now use a "non" toxic
coolent.
