You've got no idea how many trips I took to the dealer while waiting for my 97 to arrive a few months ago:)

My white truck has Silver decals which might now look too bad. I *think* the black trucks have white decals, but I'm not sure. I certainly wouldn't try to paint them, however. I don't think the paint would stick for very long and it would probably be *very* difficult to avoid getting some paint on the truck as well. As long as white decals do exist the parts department or body shop at your dealer should be able to get them for you. Removing the decals shouldn't be too difficult (Particularly since they are new). Heating them with a heat gun would probably help considerably (I doubt a hair dryer would help much, but if you don't have access to a heat gun you might want to try it. I know several members of the list have removed their decals because they didn't like the way they looked, so they might have some tips on removal. Attaching the new decals might take a bit of time to get them on straight, but it shouldn't be too hard. If you're lucky you might be able to get !
your body shop to take care of t
he whole thing rather inexpensively. Since they apply those decals pretty often it would probably be much easier for them to do.

Good luck
