Hi guys,
I joined the list about a week ago and have been listening in, and I decided
that it was about time I said something. I am a first-time Dakota owner, I
purchased a 1998 Flame Red 4x4 Sport, 6cyl auto, three weeks ago. It was
quite an upgrade from my old truck, a 2wd 4cyl GMC Sonoma. So far, I love
it! I use it mainly to commute back and forth to school, but I wanted
something more capable it the snow. The Sonoma wouldn't even go up the
driveway when it snowed. I had never been off-roading until I took the new
Dakota out on the beach last week. Its ability to handle deep, soft sand
was quite impressive. I'm interested in making a few performance upgrades,
but I'm not quite sure where to start. From what I've read, an air filter
and exhaust upgrade seem to be the place to begin. Any advice on the matter
would be helpful. And just out of curiosity, do any of you live in the New
England area?
