Yes, they do sell 4-cylinder Daks. My best friend, John Walker, owns a '93
5-speed Sport with a 4-cylinder. He used to be a DML member, but he had to
unsubscribe due to time constraints. The truck moves fine under its own
power, although, it does lack severely. The truck is fine for a daily
driver. It gets superb gas mileage--I think he averages around 25 mpg and
got 27mpg on one particular tank. He does use his truck to haul some light
things occasionally, and the truck does fine. It's got enough power to do
what he needs it to. However, he wouldn't advise trying to merge into fast
oncoming traffic with the A/C on. I will admit, though, that he'd have a
V-8 if he could--he didn't have much choice since this truck was handed
down from his father. There are pictures of it on the DML pictures page.
