While we're talking about caps, I have to say the best looking cap I've
seen on a Dak (IMHO) is the SnugTop hi-liner. I checked out just about
every cap maker I could find including A.R.E, SnugTop, Raven, Glastite,
Leer, GemTop and Sprint and I honestly think the new SnugTops look the best
on 97 and newer Dakotas. The rounded lines fit perfectly with the Dakotas
and SnugTop has a great reputaion for quality. The glass rear door on
certain Leer tops are pretty stylish but I think the tops themselve are a
little blocky and dated. By the by I picked up about 1mpg since adding my
cap!!!! I know its not much, even tough to guage unless you're trying, but
every little bit helps.
