Alan,
I was just going by what Nick had posted, he said Factory warranty
was $1550, and that Edmunds had one for $1000... Yes, it's true if it's
not specifically stated in the warranty they will weasel out of covering,
but so will any other company that you go through, they're in it to make
money so the more repairs they can get out of doing the more profit they
have. It's all a gamble anyway, your gambling you'll have a major repair
within warranty time and so you'll get yor money's worth out of the
warranty, they're gambling that nothing major will go wrong and so they
have the majority of what you paid them as profit. So to me it doesn't
really seem like it matters who you go with, the one reason I would rather
go with the Factory warranty is that Crysler has been around over 70 years
and will be around a while longer, who knows if these 3rd party warranty
companies will be around 7 years from now when your truck drops a tranny
at 90K miles, so would still be covered by warranty, but you get to
looking and find out the company you bought warranty through has declared
bankruptcy. Just my opinion....
