Actually, this is not the case technically. Exhaust shops are not supposed to
TOUCH the cat unless 1) it is malfunctioning and 2) if the cat has over 50,000
miles on it. They're not really supposed to touch anything from the heads back
to the cat, unless you're having a set of EO approved headers installed.
According to Leonard's, though, they're STILL supposed to use the original cat
IF it is under 50K miles AND is in good working condition. Weird.

Easy solution, just hollow the cat out with a drill, take it into the shop and
tell them it's "malfunctioning," then have a new fancy Random Tech high-flow
cat installed.
