HI, ONE AND ALL,
Does anyone know anyone that can check out fender tags, door tags, etc.,
so I can have proof that the 72 Plymouth Twister that I am looking at
is for real and original before I lay out my money and take three days
round trip to go get it. Worse, get there, tow it home and find out it
isn't real. My old Dak will do the tow, just fine. It just needs an
older sister that is a bit faster.
The '87 Dak plowed the Northeaster storm of 30"-33" we got in about 40
hours here in central NY. No chains allowed on my trucks; got stuck once
and had to use a chain and a come-along to pull me back a bit, but first
you have to hand dig under the front end. Tip - when you plow up onto a
bank and you sorta went too far up and you can't back up, try this;
lower the plow and leave switch down, get out of the cab, and push the
ram down and shorten the chain, get back in and raise plow and now it
will go up higher, use angle feature if you have it to paddle backwards
out of the bank. Used kitty litter under the tires helps too.
I've said too much.
BYE, WKH '87 Dak, Clifford Headers, 235P7015 snow lug Goodyears on
front and some wimpy off brand snow slicks on the back. Bashed, bent,
rotting away but still tough.
