I carpeted the bed of my old Toyota. I used 1/2" plywood cut to shape. I
joined the two sheets using some scrap sheet metal cut into straps and
nailed them to the plywood with carpet tacks. Then I glued
indoor/outdoor carpet to the plywood, and wrapped the carpet around the
edges of the plywood.
