Only thing is a Dakota has an 81/4" 10 bolt rear and a 71/4" front. As far as
the rear goes, you have three choices. You can get a Sure-Grip diff from
Chrysler. Look in a Mopar Performance catalog for that. Or you can go with a
locker like the Lock Right LOC1230 or Auburn AG542019. From what I have read
the Auburn looks more like a limited slip than a locker. ARB does not make
anything for the Dakota. I have never found any listings for the front diff.

Hey Greg - a fellow offroad enthusiast, I suspect.
There are several options for the Chrysler 8 3/4" diff.
I don't have my info in front of me, so this is off the
top of my head. The Sure-Grip LS is made for Chrysler
by Dana, and if I remember right, is a Dana 60 or Dana 70
in their catalogs. You may need the LS diff in order to
fit any aftermarket locker in the diff -- I'm not sure
there's enough space in the open-diff pumpkin.
I'm pretty sure Detroit Lockers, Tru-Trac, and ARB make
parts for our diffs. I've been trying to find (without
a definitive answer so far) a Torsen or similar LS.
I think the ultimate setup would be a Torsen in the rear,
and an ARB Air-Locker up front. You definitely don't want
a conventional LS up front, unless you're going to convert
to manual hubs, anyway. The Air-Locker gives you an open
diff when it's disengaged.
