Re: engine noise

It might be the timing chain.. I have been through 2 so far, and I am
going for another tomorrow. It sounds a lot like someone with a piece
of metal smacking the engine. The dealer has diagnosed it as the
timing chain, and since it is under warranty they have agreed to
replace it. Mine usually starts making the noice either on take off,
or at steady cruising speed.
