1: Don't know if you bought truck new or used, but if used you may of
gotten a different exhaust from the previous owner and if bought new check
that you don't have exhaust leaks or a blown out muffler or worn out pipe
connections at the head gaskets or pipe connectors.
2: As to exhaust changeovers, there are so many different styles of
mufflers and larger single or duel pipe outlets or real dual muffler and
pipe configureations on the open market that I can't really recommend any
one certain type or style--I would go to a good muffler shop and see what
they recommend or suggest and maybe between you and the shop, you can come
up with a descent sounding system you like. As to cost it'll be anywhere
from $150.00 up to $500.00 depending on configuration.
3: The KandN air filter opens up the intake for better breathing and you
do get a CARB# for emissions, but as to the cost, there are other
aftermarket 13-14" air cleaners out there that can do the same thing for
less cost--owner's preference.Cost is around $120.00 I believe
 4: I also have a '95, but with a V-8 and I use Quaker 10w30, when I first
got the vehicle I installed DURA-LUBE engine treatment and in the spring
I'm thinking of changing over to a synthetic blend, but I haven't decided
which type or brand yet for better wear protection.
5: I presume by bumps that you mean pedal pulsating, and if that's the
case, I have over 30,000+ miles on my '95 with the factory brake shoes and
pads with no problems, but a lot of DML members have had some serious
problems with their rotors and brake componets
6: I have used all kinds of gas in my vehicle-from the Mom and Pop gas to
the so called gas at Texaco where 5 tank fulls will show an
improvement(NOT). The only thing I do NOT put into my truck is gas that has
METHANOL additive fuels. Use only ETHANOL enhanced fuels or fuels that have
neither is OK. Just use a good fuel that keeps your vehicle from pinging
and knocking. The manual says to use87octane, but I've used good 85 octane
before with good results, as long as it doesn't ping or knock and my milage
didn't suffer. In some areas of the country(sea level or mountains) 92
octane may work the best for your vehicle or if you do towing, definitely
use a higher octane than recommended to keep from damanging engine.
