Pierre, it was broke, thats why I was fixing it. The passenger side
upper control arm bushings had deteriorated (due to heat from the
exhaust manifold) to the point that when I hit a bump in the road the
steaal sleeve was banging into the steel shaft that runs through it
(metal on metal). In case ya'll have not noticed, the passenger side
upper control arm is much closer to the exhaust manifold than the
driver side. The driver side was in excellent condition but the
passenger side began cracking way back about 40,000 and kept getting
worse. I am going to try and make a shroud that will help disipate
some of the heat before it get to my new bushings. I don't want to
have to do this again anytime soon.
