amount of junk email I and many others have some how managed to get
stuck with. By inserting invalid characters in your email address, you
make the job of the spam BOT a little more difficult to use your email
address for their monetary gain.
FIPK is the Filtercharger Injection Performance Kit and is
manufactured by K&N at http://www.motorville.com/kn_home/kn.html There
are also "clones" available from folks such as Summit and several others
that escape me at the moment. A lot of the members on this list consider
it the first mod that must be performed to the the truck. It is a open
element air filter which greatly increases the breathing ability of the
engine while increasing the noise only slightly (according to those who
have them).
BTW, I pulled the intake box off of my TB yesterday on the way to
work, and if the FIPK is that loud, I will have to pass. The entire cab
was resonating at 2K RPM's. It was almost deafening. I think I will have
to get with Alan and see what his sounds like with the lid propped up a
little to get a better impression. I would like to do the mod as
anything I can do for better mileage will be very much welcomed, and it
looks really cool, but I have to maintain the quiet as well. If it turns
out to be too loud, I will go with the replacement filter instead.

Thanks, PJE
