I dont know about Dakotas but I know 2 friends that have 97 Ram 1500 2wd models thatBOTH
have that problem. BOTH trucks have been to different dealers in the central Texas area
(Hillsboro and Temple) and the best fix seems to put heavier front shocks (from 3/4 ton
model) and re-align to other than stock specs. Both my friends were given NEW front tires
to compensate for
the early wear out. I have noticed the same problem on other Rams I have seen lately.
I wonder what different suspension components will be found on the r/t models which are
supposed
to be LOWERED.
