thinking of installing a shift kit that will "chirp" it into second.
Has anyone done this yet to a 98? Any reccomendations? Is B&M the way
to go or should I use MP? (if they are even available yet) DOes the MP
kit gain enough, or is it just a mild upgrade? And finally how
difficult are they to put in? (I can build engines but have no auto
transmission experience) And finally (again!), If they dont list 98
yet, are 96 and or 97 the same setup? Thanks for the help!

I used Trans Go when I did mine, but I still don't have it in the
vehicle yet, so I can't tell you how satisfied I am with it. Someone
else on the list used Trans Go also, and he had his on the street.
This place (Trans Mart) located in Florence, Al. has its own shift kit
and would probably be cheaper. Ph # is (800) 633-3340. Will ship on a
credit card order. I've been using them for about 3 months now and am
very pleased with their service and pricing. Transmissions - Clutches
- rack & pinions - CV joints - and such are their specialty. No engine
parts. I have an old A904 apart now that will receive one of their
shift kits as soon as I can get thru with all the other jobs I have to
do, yet.
