Tailgate Protectors

Hi,

I am picking up my 1998 CC Sport in 8 days and I want to by a
tailgate protector. (The little cap that goes on the top of the
gate.) I have a few qestions:

- Is the top of the tailgate flat across the back or does it have
a bulge in it? I only have the brochure and it is not clear if a
tailgate protector would fit since there apears to be a bulge in
the back of the gate.

- Is anyone using a Putco protector on their 97-98? This is a
stainless piece that is avaliable in black or polished. How does
it fit and look? How has it held up?

- Is anyone using the Dy-Nam-X protector on their 97-98? This is
a moulded lexan piece that fits over the top of the tailgate. You
can also get one for the front of the bed. How does it fit and
look? How has it held up?

- Is anyone using a Pacer Rail-Gard wraparound protector on their
97-98? This one is made of ABS or other plastic and looks like it
is extruded. It apears to attach with tape and conform to the
body contours. This one looks good in the brochure and I think it
would look good with my Black Dak. How does it fit and look. How
has it held up?

Any reccomendation would be appreciated. BTW, I got all of this
information from the Sears Automotive Part and Accesory catalog.

Drive Safe,
