Road Trip - Gas Mileage

Hey Guys.

I just completed my first long road trip since adding the aftermarket air
cleaner.

Overall, I was pleased with the gas mileage. It seemed to be 1-2 mpg better
than I used to get (but I don't have numbers for other trips before the mod).
Mileage numbers are as follows:

                           Tank 1 17.8 Gal. / 263.7 mi. = 14.79 mpg
                                           City Driving / fooling around

                           Tank 2 18.1 Gal. / 302.9 mi. = 16.72 mpg
                                           50% city / 50% highway (70+ mph)

                           Tank 3 17.0 Gal. / 290.5 mi. = 17.08 mpg
                                           30% city / 70% highway (55-65 mph)

Average over 857.1 miles was 16.2 MPG

Overall, I was pleased with the results.

PS. I don't want to resurrect this thread, but, on tank 2, I drove for 50+
miles with the low fuel light on. I was in the middle of nowhere Louisiana on
Farm Roads - by the time I found a station that accepted credit cards, I was
sweating bullets. Notice - I had 4 gallons (+/-) left (22 gallon tank) and
could have gone another 50 miles or so. However, I don't the nads to do it (
I've never put more than 20 gallons in for a fillup, I just can't drive it
with that light on).
