Re: Hidden Hitch

I have a Street Scene pan on my black '97 Sport with their hidden
hitch and a flip plate. I ordered all of it from Traders. The pan is a
nice piece. It has some nice lines which complement the rest of the
truck. It didn't take too much work to get it very smooth and
paintable. The hitch was far from being a bolt on. It was too wide and
it wouldn't fit inbetween the stock rear hangers where they hang below
the frame. I did a 3-5 drop so the DJM hangers took care of that as
they are above the frame. Then there are cutouts on the hitch for the
rivets that attach a rear frame support. They had to be cut open so it
would fit correctly. The welds and finish I consider to be above
average. I did remove my spare tire so I can't say if there are any
issues in this area. I do a lot of fabrication in my shop so these
fitment problems didn't bother me. If I were to have a dealer or shop
charge me for the labor I would have been very disappointed as this
was to be a bolt-on item. The kit was complete with all the hardware.
