Thats a fine question - I posed it to my tranny guy last week when I was in
for service. He dragged out a huge book and turned to a page that listed
transmissions, supposedly one of them was mine. and showed me a bunch of
numbers (A518, 727, 46RH, 46RHE) all listed under the same page with the same
diagram and a bunch of different part numbers and footnotes. This really
cleared things up for me, How about you??
Here's what I do know about my '92. Chrysler designates the V8 tranny in mine
as 46RH, and says that it is simply a modified 36RH with the addition of the
OD unit. The V6 tranny (1992) is designated by Chrysler as 42RH and states
that it is a modified 32RH with the OD unit added. I got this from the 1992
FSM.
