>From the Wall Street Journal today:

NEW YORK -- Chrysler Corp. posted a 3.1% increase in overall vehicle
sales in February, helped by strong sales of its popular new sport-utility
                     vehicle.

The No. 3 auto maker said sales of cars fell 9% to 64,506 units from 70,943 in
the year-ago month, but truck sales, which include sport-utility vehicles,
roared ahead 10% to 135,562 units from 123,040 a year ago.

The company said its new, four-door Durango sport-utility vehicles sold
11,618 units in February. Chrysler also makes the Jeep SUV models.

Truck sales were better than the 6% increase analysts had projected.
However, industry insiders said last week that Chrysler would only record a
                     7% drop in car sales.

Chrysler said February was its second-best sales month in company history.
