I dont know if this has been answered or not, but I noticed in the archives that many of you had been getting a similar occurance when traveling at a constent rate of speed the slightest tap tot he brake would cause the trany to shift.
I hope this helps.. Its absolutly normal.. Most of the Daks do it.. what is happening is that the trany isnt really shifing. What you are feeling is the Lock Up Tourque Converter kicking either in or out.. I cant remember which, but that is what it is.. GM does it to..
Its similar to taking it out of over drive.. The truck things that sense you taped the brake that soon you will need more power.. Its kind of like a precaution that the truck takes before your about to step on it.. It also helps to extend the life of the trany.. You don't want to over tourque the trany whilst you are in overdrive, right?
Hope this helps.. I found this out from a GM tech and confirmed it with a hick town Dodge dealer whilst I was living in MN... As I recal he said that if you counted the Tourque Converter the Daks actually shift 6 times including the times that the Tourque Converter locks up too.
Later.
