All wheel drive is not the same as 4x4. All wheel drive, each tire
turns independently of each other. 4x4 on dry pavement is hard on the
drivetrain (try putting it 4x4 on a dry paved surface and try to turn
the wheel).
Since I'm talking, I saw an ad in Four Wheeler magazine for a 4 inch
lift for '97 Dakotas from Trailmaster. The max tire size with the lift
is 33's.
I'll have pictures of my SnugTop "SnugFit" fiberglasss tonneau cover
and Gibson dual cat-back system next week. I'm getting the film
developed now.
