Only in the older Daks, at least from what I've seen. A friend of mine had
an '87 Dak 4x4 and that and my old Ramcharger had to be backed up or you
drove on in 4wd for another 1/4 to 1/2 mile.
Now on my '98 Dak I shift from 4h to 2 and a couple of seconds later it's
in 2wd. Must be something different on the newer ones.
