Gene,
I like the idea of a National Dakota Club but I've always considered this
list a club. I know this subject has come up several times in the past and it
was always agreed the DML itself was the club. I think the members that are
close together, could get together at meets and shows to represent the DML and
increase awareness of the list. I know that when I talk with people that
inquire about my truck, the first thing I ask is "Are you on the Net?"

Subject: DML: National Dakota Owners Association

Well, this is the answer to all those requests for regional Dak Clubs.

The Texas Dakota Club has caught on good, considering we have only solicited
members from the DML so far. Now if this could be suggested
nationwide.........well I think you get the idea.

Granted, some states have small Dak populations but these could be made into
something like"NE Dak Owners Association" for members in MA, ME, CN, VT, NY,
etc........Will it work? Its up to YOU!

We could have a National meet at the Mopar Nationals in Columbus, OH this Aug.
At that Mopar meet there are over 40,000 people. Lets say 1% are Dakota
owners. Thats a lot of Dakotas!!!!!!

We're talkin a big organization here! And if you include the Ram-Durango
owners thats at least double!

If we advertise in a couple of magazines like Sport Truck, 4 Wheel and Off
Road, Mopar Muscle, Mopar Action and High Performance Mopar, well the
possibility is endless!

Everyone, lets kick this around a bit and see if its a good idea.

Get real, get (V)opar
