>It sounds like your oil sending unit is going out. And being a '93 of
course it's out of warranty-unless you have the extended plan.The only way
to check is replace it with a new one. You'll find it next to the
distributor to replace. When replacing make sure you use teflon tape on the
threads to seal oil leaks. If you might possibly be using an extreme light
weight winter oil(5w30) that too might give you eratic idle readings of too
low oil pressure. If you changed out the sending unit and have fresh,proper
weight oil, then you might put in a engine oil cleaner(do not drive-let idle
only) and see if that clears up a possible partial clogged oil galley and
refill and change filter and see if that clears up the problem. If all that
has been tried then it's your insterment gauge gone bad. Hope these ideas
