I have outlived many lead-acid batteries, but they typically gave me at least
a hint of warning. This one was 100%, and then went poof after 0.25 second.

Documented in the factory service manual, which you need to order if you
haven't already. With the engine off, turn the ignition key on-off-on-off-on
within 5 seconds. The PCM will flash the codes through the Check Engine
light.
