Prob. will be ok. If you want to be "nice" to your alternator, hook up
to a battery charger rather than putting a bunch of load on the alt. to
charge a totally discharged battery. Usually one "dead" cycle won't kill
a battery, but it certainly doesn't do them any good...
Guess the '95s don't have the "lights on" chime that my '97 does. One
"neat" thing that I saw lately was a battery cut-off, so that when the
battery is being discharged, this "switch" will disconnect the battery
from the rest of the electrical system, preserving enough power to
start. Using the starter will "reconnect" the battery, allowing the
vehicle to be started. Works great for "unswitched" accessories that may
be inadvertently left on...

Subject: DML: Battery Question
This is the kind of thing I should know, but I have to ask anyway. I
left my lights on from about 5pm to 9:30pm. The battery is so dead it
just clicks. If I get a jump tomorrow, and drive it on the highway for
a while, it will recharge, right? I don't have to buy a new battery, do
I? Does anyone out there have two batteries in their Dakota? I've
always kind of thought about that since things started to get hooked up
to that battery like fog lights, and my stereo/alarm systems. Thanks,
Robert
