I have a question for those of you who might know.....how do I determine
the gear ratio in the ass end of my 88' Dak? I tried doing the VIN number
thing, but I can't find anyone who can research the number for me. I
know you can take it aoart or something, but I'm unclear on what exactly
to look for.....can anyone hook me up here? >>
put a mark on your drive shaft, and then on your tire. With the rear of the
vehicle jacked up and in nuetral, spin the drive shaft until the tire makes on
complete revolution. and count how many times the drive shaft turns. 3 1/2
means 3.55 and approximately 4 means 3.92. just over 3 is 3.21

good luck
